Fallen Tears
Music – Leon Evans
Lyrics – Leon Evans
Written – August 1994
I had just broken up with my girlfriend of 3 years, it was very very painful and I wrote this song for her to try and explain how I felt and to show how I felt about her.
FALLEN TEARS
VERSE 1
When I lie in bed and I close my eye’s at night,
I think of you and the things we had and how it could’ve turned out right.
Now and then, when I lie here all alone,
A tear rolls down this forgotten face, will you catch that tear, before it hits the floor?
BRIDGE
A new day comes, as an old one disappears,
but my feelings are still the same.
A new day comes, as I dry this lonely tear,
I close my eyes and think of you.
CHORUS
I’ll still love you in the morning,
I’ll still love you when the sun no longer shines,
I’ll still love you when the years start getting long,
’cause you’ll always be the one for me,
catch my tears, before they hit the floor.
VERSE 2
I see your face every time I close my eyes,
A smile as sweet as honey, but a heart as cold as ice.
Seems so long ago since you tore my heart in two,
left it bleeding in the rain, how could love be so untrue?
